Cassandra’s Night Out

This is the next installment of the Cassandra story. Last year’s entry won the Reel Pride Audience Award Winning film in 2007. This time Cassandra wakes up from a nightmare and receives a call from a mysterious man. Find out what happens.

Form and function blend seamlessly in Shindruk’s beautifully designed future. In Hinterland nature is the beautiful (if distant) background to the awkward, poignant strivings of men and women.


Trauma Queen: the Haida Scenes

Brenda is trying to come to terms with her sexual adventures with her friend Shalla as she reveals her explorations to her grandmother, Nonnie.


Straight as an Arrow
James Wasyluk | Winnipeg | 6 min | 2007

This documentary look at one person’s coming out story. The film covers the period four months after coming out to his mom and one after the news is revealed to his father.


The Check-Up
Gabrielle Zilkha | Toronto | 6 min | 2008

This tongue-in-cheek short follows the main character on a visit to her gynecologist. Her diagnosis – she’s no longer bisexual but bad (not very good) lesbian.
