2008 Call for Submissions of Short Films Submission guidelines
A completed entry form must accompany each submission.
The submission deadline is Friday, September 12, 2008 – 4:00pm local time.
There is no application fee. All films must be Canadian.
Please note that Reel Pride will not pay any fee for delivery of films.

Every year, the Reel Pride Film Festival hosts the Short Film Competition, which carries two prizes, the Audience Choice and the Jury Choice Awards. These Prizes are each gift certificates for $1,000 from William F. White.
In 2007, Sonya Oliviera was the winner of the Audience Choice Award. Here is what winning this prize meant to her: " Winning the Audience Choice prize at the Reel Pride Festival encouraged me to continue pursuing my dreams in film making. I am honored the audience chose Cassandra's Day Off; it has opened doors for me to develop and create more Cassandra films. Thank you for your generous support. I wish the Reel Pride Festival continued success."

TAKE A CHANCE ON ME: The ABBA Sing-Along! They were the biggest export from Sweden of the 1980s - bigger than Volvo. In 2000, they turned down a $1,000,000,000 - yes, 1 BILLION dollar offer to do a reunion tour. And with the release of ABBA: Gold in 1992, their legacy was all but assured as a whole new generation discovered their catchy pop and disco.
We're putting together all their best music videos, cutting in some notable movie and TV appearances, and assembling the greatest collection of ABBAtasticness ever. Don't expect to see many people sitting till through this show... (Henri Mazza)
