Director: Kegan McFadden

Bio: Kegan as an artist identifies as gay. A Separate Peace is about the nature of homosocial and queer relationships. Artist, curator, writer and publisher, Kegan McFadden has exhibited in exhibition and print form throughout Canada since 2004. Recurring themes in Kegan's work include an investigation of queerness, the implications of memory, and found images. A Separate Peace is his first video.

Director: Matthew Shoup

Bio: Matthew Shoup is an emerging Métis filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Matthew made his premiere as a filmmaker at the 2021 Reel Pride Film Festival with his short "SEPTEMBER IS THE MONTH OF LOVE". Since then, he has had his films screened at festivals such as Gimme Some Truth Film Festival, McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival, and Bayelsa International Film Festival. His biggest accomplishment has been his documentary film "COVID/CHOIR,” which has gone on to garner international attention and was even covered by CTV News.

Director: Chanelle Lajoie

Bio: Chanelle Lajoie is a Queer Métis multi-disciplinary artist from Treaty 1 Territory, and a current guest studying at McGill Law on Tiohti:áke Territory. With their degree, they aim to protect the intellectual property of Indigi-queer creators. With their medium, they seek to honour and engage within the communities to which they belong through storytelling in the form of moving-image. Their ties to the community are best witnessed in recent projects Métis Femme Bodies (2018) and Lavender Menace (2020) which explore Indigi-queer identity.

Director: Isaac Würmann

Bio: Isaac Würmann is a documentarian, artist, and freelance journalist. After studying journalism at Carleton University, Isaac returned home to Winnipeg, where he continues to search for new ways to tell stories about queerness, the city, and the experiences that connect us.
